At long last

I was recently telling my cousin the story of all of the twists and turns and documents and applications and letters I had to submit to finally get the long awaited news that came yesterday that I had the blessing of the Medical Council of New Zealand to practice medicine there. She kept looking at me and shaking her head. This is a multistep license that won't be completely finalized until I step foot on New Zealand soil, but I have finally been given what I need to even be able to come into the country.
Without what is referred to as Registration, I could not even apply for the visas for myself and my family. Due to the pandemic, with borders closed to only those of use who are considered critical or essential workers, visas are not awarded without a job offer and the authority to practice medicine in New Zealand.

We are so very close to having all of the ducks in a row. I am so grateful to God for all of his mercies.
