Bay of Islands Overnight Adventure Cruise

Another trip up north to the Bay of Islands (3.5 hours north of our home in Auckland). This time with my father and stepmother in tow. Pit stop for a walk to Whangarei Falls then The Rock, overnight adventure cruise. Swimming, Target shooting, night kayaking to see the luminescent algae lighting up the water. Fishing, which made for some delicious Sashimi. Micah was one of the ones who caught a fish big enough to keep. Snorkeling (Kina aka sea urchins were plucked off the underwater rocks and those brave of us (me not included) got to taste the Roe. My kids were adventurous and all volunteered to taste. They also enjoyed learning how to cut the urchins open.
