On November 22nd, our belongings that had arrived to New Zealand about three weeks prior, finally arrived to our house. That morning, the company who had rented us furniture and housewares came to retrieve their
things as two truck loads what had been in a 40 foot container was parked on the street waiting to be brought in. It was such an impressive undertaking. The four men who came and worked hard to bring all of our items into the house and unpack and reassemble furniture and haul off boxes and packing supplies were each handsomely tipped.
The kids came home from school to their toys and their beds. It has been an exhausting week of unpacking and rearranging and seeing how our things fit in this new space, but we have loved every minute of it. We are so grateful that everything arrived unscathed and accounted for. Well, almost everything- note to any future travelers, be like Randy and have extra screws of all sizes around. It has been a Godsend!

Bright and early, the team from the rental company came and removed everything from the house.

Two large trucks brought what was on our 40 foot shipping container.

Those guys were impressive. Randy and I held our breaths as we watched them bring the truck down our narrow driveway without touching or damaging any structures on either side.

I was assigned the task of checking off every item on the inventory list. The men yelled the numbers out as they walked the boxes into the house. We told them which rooms to put them in. Somethings weren't labeled clearly or didn't match the description listed next to their assigned number, but it all worked out and everything made it here.

After offloading everything, they reassembled all of our furniture. The guys were funny and friendly and professional and efficient. They worked through lunch and got everything done. We were pleased with their work.
